RUSH repairs - a case study |
When a major aerospace manufacturer in Alabama had a critical CNC machine failure they called their local Power Transmission Distributor, who couriered the bad servo motor to TigerTek. This high-speed motor was rated for 30,000 rpm at 200 volts, 500 hertz. It had special high-speed bearings, which required oil bath lubrication. It was foreign made and OEM proprietary. TigerTek technicians duplicated the control setup and rapidly repaired the motor. The manufacturing plant was quickly back up and producing. |
Ask Darryl |
How do you ensure a quality servo motor repair? TigerTek has invested a small fortune in servo motor test equipment which enables us to properly set the feedback device on the motor shaft, as well as to actually drive your motor through a full blown servo amplifier (just like it would run on your machine!). So we know your servo motor is running properly before it passes Quality Control (no guessing, no wishful thinking - just having the right test equipment and properly trained technicians to do the job right, the first time, every time).
